S-Tier Fruits
The best fruits in Haze Seas for overall power and versatility. These fruits define the meta and are required for competitive PvP.
1. Dragon - Power and Movement, Route-Defining
Dragon is the consensus best fruit in Haze Seas. Its combination of flight, fire attacks, and massive burst damage makes it dominant in nearly every matchup. Dragon's flight provides unmatched mobility - you can engage from any angle, escape any situation, and chase down fleeing opponents. Fire Breath covers approach angles, Sky Roar is a reliable combo starter, and Dragon Talon delivers punishing single-target damage. In Full Dragon form, the stat boosts are overwhelming. The only weakness is predictability - every player knows the Dragon approach pattern.
Why S-Tier: Flight + burst + zoning in one package. No other fruit combines all three elements at this level.
2. Dough - Control, Burst, and Pressure
Dough is the control king. Sticky Floor zones force opponents into predictable movement patterns, and Dough's skills chain seamlessly into extended combos. Grilled Dough delivers one of the highest single-hit damages in the game (4,200), and Stretch Punch provides a reliable gap closer with stun. Dough rewards precise execution - the skill ceiling is high, but practiced Dough players are nearly unbeatable in neutral game. The main weakness is slow startup on most skills, which can be punished by fast opponents.
Why S-Tier: Best crowd control in the game + high burst damage + excellent combo chaining.
3. Venom - Sustained Pressure in Damage Zones
Venom wins through attrition. Multiple damage zones created by Venom Hydra, Venom Road, and Venom Demon make it impossible for opponents to stand still. Chloro Ball's vision reduction is a unique and powerful setup tool. The total damage potential from all zones is among the highest in the game, but it requires opponents to stay in zones. Against mobile opponents (Leopard, Dragon), Venom struggles to maintain pressure. In group fights and against slower builds, Venom is devastating.
Why S-Tier: Highest sustained damage potential through stacked poison zones + vision control.
4. Leopard - Speed, Pursuit, and Direct Threat
Leopard is the assassin fruit. Pounce provides a near-unreactable gap closer, Claw Frenzy delivers rapid multi-hit damage, and Predator Instinct is a tracking finisher that catches fleeing opponents. Combined with Spotted Step's speed buff and Beastborne's racial bonus, Leopard is the fastest character build possible. The hit-and-run playstyle is extremely effective - engage, burst, escape before the opponent can respond. Weakness is low survivability - Leopard form provides no damage reduction, and whiffing Pounce leaves you vulnerable.
Why S-Tier: Unmatched speed and pursuit ability + tracking finisher + effective hit-and-run.
5. Soul - Extra Fight Layers with Utility and Damage
Soul fruit is the most versatile S-tier fruit. It can steal opponents' lifespan to heal, create soul-based attacks that bypass certain defenses, and provide utility that works in any team composition. Soul is less dominant in 1v1 than Dragon or Dough but excels in group fights where its healing and utility provide sustained value. The ability to steal HP from opponents creates a snowball effect - the longer a fight goes, the stronger Soul becomes.
Why S-Tier: Unique utility (HP steal, soul attacks) + team fight value + no bad matchups.
A-Tier Fruits
Strong fruits with minor weaknesses. These are powerful and viable for competitive play but have clear counterplay.
Phoenix - Sustain and Movement
Phoenix provides the best sustain in the game with its healing flames and fire-based attacks. The transformation grants flight similar to Dragon but trades burst damage for continuous healing. Phoenix is nearly impossible to kill 1v1 but lacks the damage output to close out fights against S-tier fruits. Best for players who prefer outlasting opponents over bursting them.
Why not S-Tier: Low burst damage means Phoenix struggles to actually kill skilled opponents who can disengage and reset.
Darkness - Grouping and Pressure Windows
Darkness can pull enemies together and create pressure windows with gravity-based attacks. The grouping ability is unique and powerful in team fights. However, Darkness has slow startup on most skills and relies on opponents grouping up, which rarely happens in 1v1. Best in coordinated team play, weaker in solo situations.
Why not S-Tier: Slow startup + requires opponents to group up + weaker in 1v1.
Gum - Active Damage Lane
Gum fruit provides consistent damage through stretching attacks and active combat tools. It is a solid all-rounder with no significant weaknesses but also no standout strengths. Gum's attacks are fast and reliable, but they lack the zone control of Dough, the burst of Dragon, or the speed of Leopard. A consistent performer that never surprises.
Why not S-Tier: Jack of all trades, master of none. Solid but outclassed by specialists.
Magma - Farming and Boss Pressure
Magma is the best farming fruit and excellent for boss fights with its lava zones. In PvP, Magma's slow projectiles and predictable zoning make it easy for mobile opponents to navigate around. The high PvE value keeps it relevant, but competitive PvP players prefer faster, more flexible fruits.
Why not S-Tier: Slow projectiles + predictable zoning + countered by mobility.
Electricity - Tempo and Active Damage
Electricity provides fast attacks with stun potential and good tempo in combat. Its skills are responsive and chain well together, creating fluid combat sequences. However, Electricity lacks the raw damage of S-tier fruits and has shorter range on most abilities. It is a strong choice for aggressive players but falls off against ranged opponents.
Why not S-Tier: Short range + lower damage numbers than S-tier options.
Love - Support and Disruption
Love fruit disrupts opponents with charm and attraction effects, forcing them to move toward you. It is unique and powerful in team fights where disruption creates openings for allies. In 1v1, Love's disruption is less impactful because the opponent only has to manage one threat. Best in coordinated group content.
Why not S-Tier: Team-dependent value + less effective in 1v1.
Magnet - Enemy Control
Magnet can attract and repel enemies, creating positional advantages. The control is strong but has limited range and requires good positioning to maximize. Magnet struggles against opponents who can close distance quickly and punish before you establish control.
Why not S-Tier: Limited range + requires setup + countered by speed.
B-Tier Fruits
Solid but situational. These fruits are usable and can be effective in the right hands, but they have clear limitations that prevent them from competing with higher-tier options.
Ice
Freezes opponents and creates slippery surfaces. The freeze is powerful but has a short duration and Ice lacks follow-up damage. Best as a support fruit for setting up teammates.
Light
Fast movement and ranged attacks. Light is the fastest travel fruit but lacks combat impact. Good for exploration and fruit hunting, weak in actual fights.
Shadow
Manipulates shadows for attacks and clones. Creative kit but the clone AI is unreliable and the damage output is inconsistent.
Tremor
Powerful AoE shockwaves that can disrupt groups. Slow cooldowns and telegraphed attacks limit its PvP viability. Decent for PvE farming.
Operation
Tactical fruit with room-based abilities. High skill ceiling but the setup time makes it impractical in most PvP scenarios. Interesting but underpowered.
Flame
Solid fire attacks with good AoE. Outclassed by Magma in every way but more accessible. A budget farming option.
Gravity
Manipulates gravity to float and create pressure. The float mechanic is niche and Gravity lacks the damage to compete with A-tier options.
Gas
Creates poison gas zones. Similar concept to Venom but with smaller zones and weaker damage. Outclassed by Venom in every scenario.
Paw
Repels attacks and creates pressure pads. Defensive utility is interesting but Paw lacks offensive punch. Too passive for most PvP.
Snow
Freezing zones with safety. Lower damage than Ice but safer due to zone persistence. A decent farming fruit for beginners.
Buddha
Transformation tank with massive hitbox. Best farming fruit for safety but outclassed in PvP. See our Buddha guide for full analysis.
Mammoth
Large transformation with charge attacks. Fun but slow and predictable. Buddha does the tank role better.
String
Creates string traps and attacks. Interesting concept but the traps are easily avoided and String lacks burst damage.
C-Tier Fruits
Early game or niche use. These fruits are primarily useful for new players who have not yet found better options. Most should be traded away as soon as possible.
Sand
Sand attacks with decent range. Low damage and no standout abilities. One of the weakest fruits overall.
Smoke
Smoke-based attacks with poor visibility. The smoke effect is annoying but not damaging. Low PvP and PvE value.
Barrier
Creates defensive barriers. Pure utility with virtually no damage. Only useful in specific team compositions.
Bomb
Explosive attacks with high self-damage risk. The explosions are slow and predictable, making them easy to dodge.
Spike
Spike-based attacks at melee range. Outclassed by every other melee fruit. Low damage and short range.
Spin
Spinning attacks with low damage. The spinning mechanic is fun but ineffective. Trade immediately.
Chop
Chops opponents with blade hands. Basic melee with no unique utility. Outclassed by fighting styles.
Clear
Transparency and invisibility effects. Invisibility has a short duration and you become visible when attacking. Niche at best.
Wolf
Wolf transformation with basic claw attacks. Weak transformation compared to Leopard or Dragon. Underpowered in every metric.
Cross-Tier Comparison
S-Tier vs A-Tier: What Separates the Best from the Strong?
| Factor | S-Tier Fruits | A-Tier Fruits |
|---|---|---|
| Burst Damage | 8,000-15,000 per combo | 5,000-10,000 per combo |
| Mobility | Flight or dash escape | Limited to one movement skill |
| Zone Control | Multiple persistent zones OR none needed | Single zone or projectile-based |
| Combo Reliability | Gap closer + stun guarantees follow-up | Setup-dependent, punish on whiff |
| Counterplay | Limited - must outplay the S-tier user | Clear weaknesses exploitable by good players |
| Trade Value | 4,500,000-10,000,000 Beli | 2,000,000-3,000,000 Beli |
The key difference is guaranteed damage. S-tier fruits have tools that ensure damage connects (Dragon flight engage, Dough stun, Leopard tracking, Venom zone stacking). A-tier fruits require opponents to make mistakes or stand in zones voluntarily.
B-Tier Reality Check
B-tier fruits are not bad - they are outclassed. If you only have B-tier options:
- Buddha is the best B-tier pick for PvE farming
- Ice has the highest PvP potential among B-tiers (freeze into team combo)
- Tremor is viable for group PvE content
- Replace B-tier fruits as soon as you obtain A-tier or higher
C-Tier Verdict
C-tier fruits should be traded immediately upon obtaining anything better. The only exception is Sand and Smoke for new players who need any fruit to progress until they find a replacement. Every C-tier fruit is worth less than 200,000 Beli in trades.
Fruit Synergy Matrix
Which fruits work best together in team fights (2v2, 3v3):
| Fruit Pair | Synergy Rating | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Venom + Dough | S+ | Venom zones + Dough Sticky Floor creates inescapable area. Spirit Pull (Soul Cane) drags targets in. |
| Dragon + Darkness | S | Darkness groups opponents, Dragon nukes the grouped targets with fire breath. |
| Leopard + Soul | A | Leopard engages and bursts, Soul steals HP from distracted targets. |
| Magma + Venom | A | Double zone stacking - opponents must navigate both lava and poison simultaneously. |
| Phoenix + Buddha | A | Phoenix heals Buddha, Buddha tanks. Nearly unkillable front line. |
| Ice + Dough | B+ | Ice freeze into Dough combo - works but Ice's short freeze limits the window. |
| Light + Leopard | B | Light travel speed + Leopard combat speed = map control, but Light adds no combat value. |
Meta Analysis
Current Meta (Post-Latest Update)
The current meta favors burst damage and mobility. Dragon and Leopard dominate because they can engage, deal massive damage, and disengage before the opponent can respond. Dough remains strong for players who prefer a control-oriented approach. Venom is situationally excellent against the tanky builds that have become popular.
Rising Fruits
- Soul has been gaining popularity as players discover its team fight potential
- Electricity received a recent buff that improved its stun duration, making it more competitive
Falling Fruits
- Buddha remains a farming staple but is less relevant as more players reach the Second Sea and need PvP-viable fruits
- Magma is still the best farmer but is increasingly outclassed in PvP as the player base improves
Predicted Changes
Based on developer statements and balance patterns:
- Dragon may receive a slight nerf to Full Dragon form duration
- C-tier fruits are likely to receive buffs in future updates
- A new fruit is expected to be added in the next major update, potentially shaking up the tier list
