Haze Seas Progression Guide

The fastest way to progress through Haze Seas, from early game leveling to end-game boss farming.

Early Game (Level 1-100)

The early game is about building a foundation. Your goals are reaching level 100, acquiring a decent farming fruit, and saving enough Beli for your first real weapon upgrade.

Level 1-30: Starting Island

  1. Accept every quest from the spawn island quest giver
  2. Grind the low-level bandit NPCs near the docks - they respawn quickly and give consistent XP
  3. At level 10, visit the fighting style trainer and equip your first skill
  4. Do not leave the starting island until you have completed all available quests - moving too early means fighting underleveled

Level 30-60: Second Island

  1. Travel to the adjacent island via the dock (costs 500 Beli or swim for free)
  2. Quests here reward 800-1,500 XP each - a significant jump from the starting island
  3. Start saving Beli for a weapon purchase from the shop
  4. If you have not found a Devil Fruit yet, check the Fruit Dealer on this island

Level 60-100: Pre-Midgame

  1. Quests now reward 2,000-4,000 XP
  2. The Marine Base island has excellent grinding spots with dense NPC spawns
  3. Boss: Captain Morgan spawns every 5 minutes near the base. He drops 3,000 Beli and has a 5% chance to drop a rare weapon
  4. By level 100, you should have: at least 50,000 Beli saved, a fighting style with 2+ skills unlocked, and ideally a farming-tier Devil Fruit

Mid Game (Level 100-300)

Mid game is where Haze Seas opens up. You gain access to the Second Sea, boss farming becomes viable, and your build starts taking shape.

Level 100-150: Entering the Second Sea

  1. Complete the quest line that unlocks Second Sea access (requires defeating the Gatekeeper boss)
  2. Second Sea quests give 5,000-10,000 XP, making leveling noticeably faster
  3. Focus on upgrading your weapon - Shusui is available from the Wano-inspired island boss
  4. Begin working on V2 of your fighting style - the quest typically requires defeating 50 NPCs of a specific type and paying 100,000 Beli

Level 150-200: Boss Farming Begins

  1. Boss fights become your primary source of rare drops and significant XP
  2. Key bosses to farm:
    • Shogun - Drops Shusui (15% chance), spawns every 8 minutes
    • Admiral - Drops Bisento V2 (10% chance), spawns every 10 minutes
    • Warlord - Drops Soul Cane (8% chance), spawns every 12 minutes
  3. Join a crew or party for boss farming - it is faster and safer with teammates
  4. Your Beli income should now be 30,000-50,000 per hour from boss drops and quest completion

Level 200-300: Build Refinement

  1. Find a better Devil Fruit if your current one does not fit your desired playstyle
  2. At this point, PvP becomes more relevant - consider whether you want to focus on PvP or continue PvE farming
  3. Unlock Observation Haki (Armament Haki prerequisite quest) - it lets you see enemy health bars and dodge automatically once per cooldown
  4. Save for a Second Sea weapon - Enma is the target for most melee builds
  5. Expected Beli per hour: 60,000-100,000 with efficient boss farming

Late Game (Level 300+)

Late game is about perfecting your build, acquiring S-tier items, and competing in PvP or farming the hardest content.

Level 300-500: Endgame Preparation

  1. Get an S-tier fruit (Dragon, Dough, Venom) - these define your build and are necessary for competitive PvP
  2. Obtain Yoru or Enma depending on your build:
    • Yoru - Best for PvP, obtainable from exclusive events or trading
    • Enma - Best for boss damage, craftable in Second Sea
  3. Master Dragon Claw or Electro fighting style V2 - both have 4 skills and the highest damage output
  4. Farm sea events for exclusive weapons and materials
  5. Unlock Conquerors Haki (requires D. Clan race or rare scroll drop)

Level 500+: True Endgame

  1. At this level, most progression comes from:
    • PvP arena rewards
    • Sea King and Sea Emperor boss events (spawn every 30-60 minutes)
    • Raid content with crews
    • Trading for rare cosmetics and titles
  2. Your Beli income should exceed 150,000 per hour with an optimized farming build
  3. Consider rerolling your race if you have not already - D. Clan is the goal for most players
  4. Master your combo routes - in endgame PvP, execution matters more than gear

Boss Strategies by Tier

Early Bosses (Level 30-100)

  • Captain Morgan: Slow melee attacks. Dash through his swing, punish with 3-hit combo, retreat. Repeat.
  • Alvida: Rolls toward you in a charge attack. Side-step with A/D + dash, then combo her from behind.

Mid Bosses (Level 100-300)

  • Shogun: Has a fast slash combo (3 hits) and a slam AoE. Block the slashes, dodge the slam, punish during his recovery window (~2 seconds).
  • Admiral: Uses a Logia-type fruit. You need Armament Haki to deal damage. Focus on single-target burst during his attack cooldowns.
  • Warlord: Summons minions. Clear minions first (AoE fruit helps), then focus the Warlord. He teleports behind you - turn and block immediately when he vanishes.

Endgame Bosses (Level 300+)

  • Sea King: Massive HP pool. Bring a full party of 4. One player tanks while others DPS. Watch for the tail swipe (360-degree AoE) at 50% HP.
  • Sea Emperor: The hardest boss in the game. Requires coordinated crew play. Phase 1 is standard combat. Phase 2 (below 30% HP) adds AoE rain attacks - spread your team and heal through it.
