Boss Guide in Haze Seas - All Boss Locations, Drops & Strategies

Complete boss guide for Haze Seas - all boss locations, attack patterns, weaknesses, and drop tables for First Sea, Second Sea, and Sea Events.

Boss System Overview

Bosses are powerful enemies that spawn at fixed locations across all seas. They drop rare items, weapons, Beli, and occasionally Devil Fruits. Boss fighting is the primary mid-to-late game activity and the best source of rare loot.

Boss Basics

  • Bosses spawn on a timer (typically 15-30 minutes depending on the boss)
  • Server-wide announcement appears when a boss spawns
  • Boss HP scales with the number of players nearby (capped at 5x base HP)
  • Bosses have unique attack patterns with telegraphed moves
  • Each boss has a specific drop table with varying rarity
  • Some bosses are required for quest progression

Boss Fight Fundamentals

  • Dodge, do not tank — Boss attacks deal 30-50% of your HP. Use dash (Q) and Observation Haki to avoid damage
  • Learn the patterns — Every boss has 3-5 attacks with distinct telegraph animations. Recognize the wind-up and dodge accordingly
  • Bring a crew — Bosses are much easier with 2-4 players. One player tanks while others deal damage
  • Use the right fruit — AoE fruits (Magma, Venom) for group bosses, burst fruits (Dragon, Dough) for solo fights
  • Keep Haki active — Armament Haki significantly increases your damage output against bosses

First Sea Bosses

Captain Morgan (Level 100)

Location: Marine Base, First Sea — spawns in the courtyard of the marine fortress HP: 15,000 | Respawn: 15 minutes

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate

Katana15%

Strategy: Easy boss for learning mechanics. Dodge the Axe Slam (most damaging move) and interrupt Marine Call. Magma or Flame fruit melts him quickly.

Alvida (Level 175)

Location: Pirates Town, First Sea — spawns on the dock near the ship HP: 25,000 | Respawn: 15 minutes

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate

Mace20%
Iron Mace Fragment10%

Strategy: Her Charge is the most dangerous attack — it is fast and tracks. Dash sideways, not backward. She has a brief stun window after Charge recovery where you can land a full combo.

Buggy (Level 250)

Location: Circus Island, First Sea — spawns in the big tent HP: 35,000 | Respawn: 20 minutes

Attack Pattern:

AttackTelegraphDamageDodge

Body SplitSplits into pieces and reforms0Attack pieces individually

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
1,500-5,000 Beli100%
Bisento8%
Chop Bomb Fragment5%

Strategy: The Buggy Ball AoE is your biggest threat. The red circle appears before impact — get out immediately. During Body Split, each piece has low HP and can be destroyed for extra damage. Buddha fruit works well here because the AoE is easy to tank with transformation.

Arlong (Level 375)

Location: Arlong Park, First Sea — spawns in the main building HP: 50,000 | Respawn: 20 minutes

Attack Pattern:

AttackTelegraphDamageDodge
Shark Oni DartsThrows teeth like darts (multi-projectile)1,200 totalDash through projectiles

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
2,000-7,000 Beli100%
Shark Blade12%
Fishman Trident8%
Fishman Scale15%

Strategy: Arlong is the first challenging boss. His Kiribachi Slash has massive range and damage. Use Observation Haki to auto-dodge the Shark Darts. Fish-Man Karate fighting style deals bonus damage due to type matching.

Second Sea Bosses

Shogun (Level 750)

Location: Wano Island, Second Sea — spawns in the castle HP: 100,000 | Respawn: 25 minutes

Attack Pattern:

AttackTelegraphDamageDodge
Iai SlashQuick draw slash (fast)2,500Block or Observation dodge

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
5,000-15,000 Beli100%
Shusui5%
Enma2%
Samurai Seal10%

Strategy: The Shogun is the gatekeeper of Second Sea boss content. His Iai Slash is nearly unreactable without Observation Haki V2+. Bring Armament Haki V2 to break through his Armament guard. Dragon Claw fighting style pairs well against him due to the gap-closing ability.

Admiral (Level 1000)

Location: Marine HQ, Second Sea — spawns in the fortress HP: 150,000 | Respawn: 25 minutes

Attack Pattern:

AttackTelegraphDamageDodge
Ice LanceFires a freezing projectile2,800Dash sideways

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
8,000-25,000 Beli100%
Raiu4%
Operation Blade6%
Marine Coat Fragment12%

Strategy: The Justice Beam is the deadliest attack in the game — it covers the full width of the arena. Observation Haki auto-dodge is essentially mandatory. Magma and Venom fruits work well for zoning him while dodging beams.

Warlord (Level 1250)

Location: Warlord Arena, Second Sea — spawns in the coliseum HP: 200,000 | Respawn: 30 minutes

Attack Pattern:

AttackTelegraphDamageDodge
Gravity SlamFloats up and crashes down (AoE)3,500Run out of red circle
Warlord SlashMassive sword swing4,000Dash backward

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
10,000-35,000 Beli100%
Soul Cane3%
Golden Staff7%
Warlord Medal8%

Strategy: The most difficult regular boss. Bring a full crew. His Meteor Call is hard to dodge without Observation Haki V2+. Armament V2 is essential to break through his frequent blocking.

Sea Events

Sea Events spawn randomly in the ocean and are announced server-wide. They are the best source of rare drops.

Sea King (Random Spawn)

Location: Open ocean, any sea — random spawn every 30-60 minutes HP: 300,000 (scales with nearby players)

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
Sea Beast Hammer5%
15,000-50,000 Beli100%
Rare Fruit Spawn3%

Strategy: Bring your strongest fruit and a full crew. The Sea King has massive HP but predictable attacks (charge, bite, tail swipe). Stay on the ship and attack from range when possible.

Ghost Ship (Random Spawn)

Location: Open ocean, Second Sea primarily HP: 200,000

Drops:

ItemDrop Rate
Soul Cane8%
20,000-40,000 Beli100%
Ghostly Fragment10%

Strategy: The Ghost Ship fires spectral cannonballs. Stay mobile and attack during reload windows. Observation Haki helps dodge the homing projectiles.

Super Bosses

These are rare, extremely powerful bosses that drop the rarest items in the game.

Tremor Girl (Level 2000)

Location: Hidden island, Second Sea — spawns once per server session HP: 500,000 | Respawn: Server restart

Drops: Yoru (Dark Blade) at 1% drop rate, plus massive Beli rewards.

Strategy: The hardest boss in the game. Requires a coordinated crew of 4+ players with Haki V2+. Her attacks are devastating — one mistake can kill you. Use Observation V3 (Future Sight) if available.

Boss Farming Routes

For efficient farming, follow these rotation routes based on boss respawn timers:

First Sea Route (Level 100-400)

  1. Kill Captain Morgan → run to Alvida (2 min)
  2. Kill Alvida → run to Buggy (3 min)
  3. Kill Buggy → wait for Morgan respawn (10 min)
  4. Repeat

Expected Beli/hour: 15,000-25,000

Second Sea Route (Level 700+)

  1. Kill Shogun → sail to Admiral (5 min travel)
  2. Kill Admiral → sail to Warlord (4 min travel)
  3. Kill Warlord → return to Shogun (6 min travel, Shogun respawns)
  4. Repeat

Expected Beli/hour: 50,000-80,000

Group vs Solo Strategy

Solo Boss Fighting

  • Use fruits with self-sustain (Buddha, Phoenix) or high mobility (Dragon, Leopard)
  • Prioritize Observation Haki for survival
  • Learn the exact dodge timing for each boss attack
  • Accept that some bosses (Warlord, Tremor Girl) are extremely difficult solo

Group Boss Fighting

  • Designate one player as the tank (Buddha + Armament V2)
  • DPS players should use burst fruits (Dragon, Dough, Venom)
  • Coordinate Conquerors Haki bursts to create stagger windows
  • Spread out to avoid overlapping AoE attacks hitting multiple players
  • Communicate boss attack telegraphs for teammates who may not see them
