Trading System Overview
Trading in Haze Seas allows players to exchange Devil Fruits, weapons, and other items with each other. The trade system is accessed through the in-game menu and requires both players to be on the same server. Understanding trade values and safety practices is essential for getting fair deals and avoiding scams.
How Trading Works
- Open the Menu (M key or bottom-left button)
- Click Trade — the trade icon is next to the Codes button
- Select a nearby player — you must be within interaction range of the other player
- Place items in the trade window — each side adds items to their offer slots
- Both sides confirm — both players must click Confirm for the trade to execute
- Trade executes — items are swapped between inventories instantly
What Can Be Traded
- Devil Fruits — the most commonly traded items
- Weapons — boss drops and upgraded weapons
- Accessories — some cosmetic and functional items
- Beli — currency can be included in trades
What Cannot Be Traded
- Haki — unlocked permanently per character, not transferable
- Fighting Styles — tied to character progression
- Race — tied to character, cannot be traded
- Race Spins — account-bound
- Quest Progress — cannot be transferred
Trade Value Guide
Trade values fluctuate based on supply, demand, and game updates. This table provides baseline values — always check community prices before trading.
Devil Fruit Trade Values
| Fruit | Tier | Estimated Value | Trade Demand |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon | S | 3-4 S-tier fruits | Very High |
| Dough | S | 2-3 S-tier fruits | Very High |
| Venom | S | 2 S-tier fruits | High |
| Leopard | S | 2 S-tier fruits | High |
| Soul | S | 1.5-2 S-tier fruits | Medium |
| Phoenix | A | 1 S-tier or 2 A-tier | Medium |
| Darkness | A | 1 S-tier or 2 A-tier | Medium |
| Magma | A | 2 A-tier fruits | Medium |
| Buddha | B | 1 A-tier or 2 B-tier | Medium (farming demand) |
| Ice/Light/Shadow | B | 2-3 B-tier fruits | Low |
| Sand/Smoke/Barrier | C | 2-3 C-tier fruits | Very Low |
Weapon Trade Values
| Weapon | Tier | Estimated Value | Trade Demand |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yoru (Dark Blade) | S | 2-3 S-tier fruits | Extremely High |
| Enma | S | 1 S-tier fruit | High |
| Shusui | A | 2 A-tier fruits | Medium |
| Soul Cane | A | 1 A-tier fruit | Medium |
| Raiu | A | 1 A-tier fruit | Medium |
Value Rules of Thumb
- S-tier fruit ≈ 2 A-tier fruits ≈ 4 B-tier fruits ≈ 8 C-tier fruits
- Yoru is worth roughly 2-3x an Enma due to extreme rarity
- Trading up is hard, trading down is easy — expect to overpay slightly when upgrading
Trade Safety and Scam Prevention
Scamming is unfortunately common in Roblox trading communities. Follow these rules to protect yourself:
Red Flags — Do Not Trade If You See These
- Player refuses to use a middleman for high-value trades
- Player rushes you to confirm the trade before you can verify items
- Player offers a deal that seems too good to be true — it usually is
- Player asks you to go first in a two-step trade (e.g., "give me your fruit first, then I'll give you mine")
- Player's inventory is private and they will not show you the item before trading
- Player has a brand new account with no play history
Safe Trading Practices
- Always use a trusted middleman for trades worth more than 1 A-tier fruit
- Verify the item — check the item name, tier, and stats in the trade window before confirming
- Screenshot the trade — take a screenshot of the trade window showing both offers before confirming
- Trade in public servers — other players can witness the trade and vouch if something goes wrong
- Never trade under pressure — if someone is rushing you, cancel the trade
- Check community price guides — know the approximate value before entering negotiations
How Middlemen Work
A middleman is a trusted third party who holds both items during a trade and distributes them to the correct recipients. This prevents either party from running off with the other's item.
- Both traders agree on the trade terms and the middleman
- Trader A gives their item to the middleman
- Trader B gives their item to the middleman
- Middleman gives Trader A's item to Trader B, and Trader B's item to Trader A
- Middleman takes a small fee (typically a C-tier fruit or some Beli) for their service
Finding Trusted Middlemen
- Discord #middleman channel — verified middlemen are listed in the official Haze Seas Discord
- Community reputation — look for middlemen with positive trade history and vouches
- NEVER use a middleman suggested by the other trader — find your own through official channels
Common Scams and How to Avoid Them
The Switcheroo
The scammer shows a high-value item (e.g., Dragon fruit), then at the last second swaps it for a low-value lookalike (e.g., Flame fruit) before you confirm.
Prevention: Always double-check the item name and tier in the trade window right before clicking Confirm. Do not rush.
The Two-Step Scam
The scammer says "the trade system is bugged, let's trade manually — you give me your fruit first, then I'll drop mine."
Prevention: Never agree to two-step trades. If the trade system is "bugged," just wait and trade later.
The Impersonator
The scammer changes their username or display to match a trusted middleman, then asks you to give them the item.
Prevention: Verify the middleman's Discord account directly. Do not trust usernames alone — check their Discord ID and trade history.
The Overpayment Scam
The scammer offers massively more value than your item is worth, then asks you to add Beli or extra items to "even it out."
Prevention: Know your item's value. If someone offers way over market price, they are likely trying to confuse you into adding more items.
Trade-Up Strategy
For players looking to climb from C-tier items to S-tier, follow this progression:
Step 1: Accumulate C-Tier Fruits
- Farm fruit spawn trees every 60 minutes
- Redeem codes for Race Spins and Beli
- Use free Race Spins to reroll — sell unwanted fruits
Step 2: Combine C-Tier into B-Tier
- Trade 3-4 C-tier fruits for 1 B-tier fruit
- Target B-tier fruits with farming demand (Buddha, Snow)
Step 3: Combine B-Tier into A-Tier
- Trade 3-4 B-tier fruits for 1 A-tier fruit
- Target A-tier fruits with PvP demand (Magma, Phoenix)
Step 4: Combine A-Tier into S-Tier
- Trade 2-3 A-tier fruits for 1 S-tier fruit
- Target Venom or Leopard first (slightly lower value than Dragon/Dough but still S-tier)
Step 5: Trade for Endgame Items
- Trade S-tier fruits for Yoru or Enma
- Build your final competitive loadout
This process takes time but is the most reliable path from nothing to endgame gear without spending Robux.
Trading Tips
- Patience pays — do not accept the first offer you get. Wait for a fair deal
- Know the meta — S-tier fruits are always in demand. B/C-tier fruits are hard to trade up
- Trade after updates — new content often shifts trade values. A buffed fruit becomes more valuable
- Use Discord trade channels — the Haze Seas Discord has dedicated trade channels with much better prices than in-game randoms
- Build relationships — regular trading partners often give better deals to repeat customers
- Never trade when emotional — if you just lost a PvP fight and want a better fruit immediately, you will overpay
- Document everything — screenshots of trade agreements protect you if disputes arise
