Fishman Trident in Haze Seas

Complete guide to Fishman Trident - B-tier First Sea weapon.

Fishman Trident Overview

Fishman Trident is a B-tier First Sea weapon focused on crowd control and enemy manipulation. Its unique Ocean Pull grab skill sets it apart from other B-tier weapons, giving it the ability to yank enemies into melee range. This makes the trident especially effective against runners in PvP and for grouping mobs together in farming scenarios.

How to Get Fishman Trident

Fishman Trident drops from Fishman NPCs at an 8% rate. It can also be traded with other players for approximately 80K-150K Beli. Farming Fishman NPCs is the primary method, and since they spawn in groups, you can grind efficiently.

Move Set

M1 Combo

4-hit chain dealing 860 damage per hit (3,440 total before modifiers).

Skill 1: Trident Stab

  • Damage: 1,100, Cooldown: 7s, Range: 7m
  • Description: A quick pierce attack with the trident. Fast cooldown and decent range make it a reliable filler skill.

Skill 2: Water Spear

  • Damage: 1,000, Cooldown: 10s, Range: 18m
  • Description: A water-based projectile that travels in a straight line. Provides long-range poke between M1 chains.

Skill 3: Ocean Pull

  • Damage: 600, Cooldown: 14s, Range: 16m
  • Description: A grab that pulls a target enemy toward you. Low damage but the displacement effect is extremely valuable for control.

Combo Potential

  • Ocean Pull into Trident Stab: Grab a distant enemy with Ocean Pull, then immediately stab them as they arrive for a clean punish.
  • Water Spear into M1 chain: Poke with Water Spear, then close in with the M1 combo while the enemy is staggered.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Ocean Pull is the only grab skill among B-tier weapons
  • Water Spear gives 18m range for safe poking
  • Medium swing speed with solid base damage
  • Control toolkit is effective in both PvE and PvP

Cons

  • Ocean Pull deals low damage at only 600
  • 8% drop rate from Fishman NPCs requires grinding
  • Damage output is lower than other B-tier weapons in pure burst

When to Replace

Upgrade to an A-tier control weapon or a Legendary weapon with better damage when entering Second Sea. The grab utility remains useful, but the overall damage falls off against higher-HP enemies.

Best Pairings

  • Fruit: Ice Fruit (freeze pulled enemies after Ocean Pull for extended control)
  • Fighting Style: Fishman Karate (shared water theme enhances range and control synergy)
