Soul Cane Overview
Soul Cane is an A-tier weapon for PvP and control. Unlike damage-focused weapons, Soul Cane specializes in manipulating enemy positioning through pulls, pushes, and disruptive skills. Its unique Spirit Pull ability lets you drag opponents toward you, creating combo opportunities that no other weapon can replicate. Soul Cane is the weapon of choice for players who prefer a tactical, control-oriented playstyle over raw damage.

How to Get Soul Cane
Warlord Boss Drop
- Source: Warlord boss on the Second Sea entrance area
- Drop Rate: 8% per kill
- Spawn Time: Every 12 minutes
- Boss Level: 200 (recommended level 180+ to fight)
- Details: The Warlord is a tricky boss with teleportation and minion summons. He drops Soul Cane at an 8% rate - lower than Shusui's drop rate from the Shogun, making Soul Cane harder to obtain on average.
Farming Strategy
- The Warlord spawns on the bridge island between First and Second Sea
- Clear his minion summons first (they can overwhelm you otherwise)
- Focus the Warlord during his post-teleport recovery window
- Expected kills needed: 10-13 (on average)
Trading
Soul Cane trades for approximately 300,000-500,000 Beli equivalent. Its lower drop rate and PvP utility make it slightly more expensive than Shusui on the trade market.
Warlord Boss Fight Tips
The Warlord is one of the trickier bosses to farm due to his mechanics:
- Phase 1 (100-70% HP): Teleports every 15 seconds. After teleport, he pauses for 1.5 seconds - your damage window
- Phase 2 (70-30% HP): Summons 3 minions. Kill minions first or they will overwhelm you. Minions die in 2-3 M1 combos
- Phase 3 (30-0% HP): Warlord enrages - faster attacks and more frequent teleports. He drops a shadow trail that damages on contact
- Key tip: When the Warlord teleports, he always reappears 8-10 meters from his previous position in a random direction. Pre-aim your follow-up skill
- Recommended level: 180+ for comfortable solo farming. Below 160, bring a partner
Farming Efficiency Tips
- Clear the bridge area of other NPCs first - the Warlord's minions can aggro them
- The 12-minute respawn timer is one of the longest for a weapon boss. Farm nearby NPCs during the wait
- Server hop if more than 2 players are camping the Warlord
- Average time to obtain: 2-3 hours of dedicated farming
Move Set
M1 Combo (Basic Attacks)
Soul Cane's M1 combo consists of 4 cane strikes:
- First Strike: Quick jab (850 damage)
- Second Strike: Side swing (900 damage)
- Third Strike: Overhead slam (950 damage, slight stagger)
- Fourth Strike: Spinning cane sweep (1,000 damage, trips the target)
The 4th hit is unique - instead of launching like most weapons, it trips the target, causing a brief knockdown. This creates different combo opportunities compared to launching 4th hits.
Skill 1: Spirit Pull
- Damage: 1,400
- Cooldown: 10 seconds
- Range: 12 meters (pull)
- Description: Launch a spectral hand that grabs a target and pulls them 8 meters toward you. Spirit Pull is the defining skill of Soul Cane and one of the most powerful control abilities on any weapon. On hit, the target is dragged toward your position and briefly staggered (0.8 seconds). This creates guaranteed combo openings from mid-range and lets you punish opponents who try to maintain distance.
Spirit Pull Uses
- Pull opponents into your fruit zones (Venom Hydra, Dough Sticky Floor, Magma Floor)
- Grab fleeing opponents who are trying to escape
- Create combo openings from range without needing a gap closer
- Interrupt enemy skills (Spirit Pull stops most skill animations on grab)
- Position enemies for your team in group fights
Skill 2: Soul Rend
- Damage: 2,600
- Cooldown: 11 seconds
- Range: 6 meters (melee AoE)
- Description: Slash in a wide arc with soul energy, damaging all enemies in front of you. Soul Rend has a wide hitbox and deals solid damage. On hit, it applies a "Soul Mark" debuff that causes the target to take 10% more damage from all sources for 5 seconds. This debuff is what makes Soul Cane a team fight weapon - the 10% damage amplification benefits your entire team.
Skill 3: Spirit Storm
- Damage: 3,000
- Cooldown: 15 seconds
- Range: 10 meters (AoE around you)
- Description: Spin the cane rapidly, creating a vortex of soul energy that pulls nearby enemies toward you and damages them. Spirit Storm is your panic button and crowd control tool. The pull effect gathers enemies into melee range, setting up perfect positioning for your other skills. In group fights, Spirit Storm can pull multiple opponents into a cluster for your team's AoE attacks.
Combo Potential
Spirit Pull Combo (Long Range)
- Spirit Pull (grab from 12 meters) > M1 x3 > Soul Rend (damage + Soul Mark) > M1 x2 > Spirit Storm (pull + burst)
- Expected damage: ~8,000 - 10,000
Zone Setup Combo (With Venom/Dough)
- Place your fruit zone (Venom Hydra, Dough Sticky Floor)
- Spirit Pull (drag opponent into the zone)
- M1 x3 while they are in the zone
- Soul Rend (damage + Soul Mark amplifies zone damage)
- Spirit Storm (pull them back into the zone if they escape)
- Expected damage: ~10,000 - 14,000 (including zone damage)
Close Range Combo
- Spirit Storm (pull nearby enemies in) > M1 x3 > Soul Rend (Soul Mark) > M1 x2 > Spirit Pull (grab them if they try to escape after the combo) > M1 x2
- Expected damage: ~9,000 - 11,000
Team Fight Combo
- Spirit Storm (group enemies together)
- Soul Rend (apply Soul Mark to all enemies - 10% damage amp for team)
- Spirit Pull (grab the highest-priority target out of the group)
- Your team's AoE attacks hit the grouped enemies while you isolate one target
Anti-Escape Combo
- After landing any combo, the opponent will try to escape
- If they dash away, Spirit Pull grabs them back (12-meter range catches most dashes)
- M1 x3 > Soul Rend > Spirit Storm to keep them close
- This "jail" combo makes Soul Cane nearly impossible to escape from in 1v1
Upgrade Path
Soul Cane Refinement
At the blacksmith, refine Soul Cane for 60,000 Beli and 8 Spirit Shards:
- Spirit Pull range increases to 14 meters (up from 12)
- Soul Rend damage increases by 10%
- Spirit Storm pull radius increases by 2 meters
Enchantments
- Phantom Grip Enchantment: Spirit Pull grabs 2 targets instead of 1 (incredibly powerful in group fights)
- Soul Drain Enchantment: Soul Rend heals you for 15% of damage dealt
- Vortex Master Enchantment: Spirit Storm pull strength increases by 30%
Phantom Grip is the best enchantment for Soul Cane - pulling 2 targets instead of 1 doubles the weapon's control value in group fights.
Comparison to Other Weapons
