Buddha Fruit Overview
The Buddha fruit is B-tier but excels at farming due to its large transformation hitbox. While it lacks the burst damage and mobility of S-tier fruits for PvP, it is arguably the best fruit in the game for pure PvE grinding. Buddha transforms you into a giant golden statue, tripling your attack range and providing significant damage reduction. For players focused on leveling and Beli farming, no fruit comes close.

Move Set
Skill 1: Buddha Palm (Unlocks at Fruit Equip)
- Damage: 1,800
- Cooldown: 7 seconds
- Range: 10 meters (wide cone)
- Description: A massive palm strike that covers a wide area in front of you. In Buddha form, the range and hitbox double, allowing you to hit 6-8 NPCs in a single swing. This is your primary farming tool - the short cooldown lets you spam it through NPC camps.
Skill 2: Enlightenment Shockwave (Unlocks at Fruit Level 25)
- Damage: 1,400 (AoE)
- Cooldown: 10 seconds
- Range: 12-meter radius around you
- Description: Release a shockwave that damages and knocks back all enemies around you. The 360-degree coverage makes this your panic button when surrounded. In Buddha form, the radius increases to 15 meters and the knockback is stronger.
Skill 3: Guardian Stance (Unlocks at Fruit Level 50)
- Damage: None (buff)
- Cooldown: 20 seconds
- Duration: 12 seconds
- Description: Enter a defensive stance that grants +25% damage reduction and +15% HP regeneration. In Buddha form, the damage reduction increases to +40% and HP regeneration to +20%. This skill is what makes Buddha nearly unkillable - combine it with the transformation's natural tankiness for absurd survivability.
Skill 4: Buddha Slam (Unlocks at Fruit Level 75)
- Damage: 3,200 (impact) + 1,000 (shockwave)
- Cooldown: 16 seconds
- Range: 8 meters (targeted AoE)
- Description: Leap into the air and slam down with tremendous force. The impact deals heavy single-target damage and the shockwave damages everything around the landing point. In Buddha form, the impact zone is much larger and the shockwave radius extends to 12 meters.
Transformation: Buddha Form (Hold F)
- Damage: N/A (stat boost)
- Duration: 45 seconds (longest transformation in the game)
- Description: Transform into a giant golden Buddha. You gain +50% attack range, +30% damage reduction, and your hitbox triples in size. All skills are enhanced as described above. The transformation lasts significantly longer than other Zoan fruits, making it sustainable for extended farming sessions.
Damage Numbers Summary

| Buddha Slam | 4,200 | 5,460 | 16s |
Why Buddha for Farming
- Large hitbox hits multiple enemies - In Buddha form, each attack covers a massive area. Buddha Palm can hit an entire NPC camp in one swing.
- Transformation provides damage reduction - Combined with Guardian Stance, you take 40-70% less damage. You can stand in the middle of 10 NPCs without dying.
- Consistent sustained damage output - Short cooldowns and the long transformation duration mean you rarely stop attacking. No other fruit maintains this level of consistent output.
- Lowest risk of any farming fruit - Deaths waste time and Beli. Buddha virtually eliminates the risk of dying to NPCs.
- Beginner-friendly - Simple moveset, forgiving playstyle, no complex combos required. Just transform and swing.
Farming Efficiency Comparison
| Fruit | NPCs Cleared per Minute | Death Risk | Beli/Hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buddha | 18-24 | Very Low | 60,000-90,000 |
| Magma | 20-30 | Medium | 80,000-120,000 |
| Flame | 12-18 | Medium | 55,000-80,000 |
| Snow | 10-15 | Low | 50,000-70,000 |
Buddha clears fewer NPCs per minute than Magma but does so with virtually zero risk of dying. For long farming sessions, the consistency often results in comparable or better total Beli earned because you never waste time running back from spawn.
Combo Routes
PvE Farming Rotation
- Activate Buddha Form (F)
- Run into the center of an NPC camp
- Buddha Palm (hits most of the camp)
- Enlightenment Shockwave (cleans up remaining NPCs)
- Move to next camp, repeat
Total time per camp: 5-8 seconds. This rotation can clear 4-5 camps per minute.
Boss Solo Strategy
- Activate Buddha Form + Guardian Stance for maximum tankiness
- Buddha Slam for damage whenever it is off cooldown
- Buddha Palm between Slam cooldowns for consistent damage
- Use Enlightenment Shockwave when the boss gets too close or spawns minions
- This strategy is slow but incredibly safe - you can solo most bosses without healing items
PvP Defensive Combo
- Guardian Stance (buff up before engaging)
- Wait for opponent to approach
- Enlightenment Shockwave (knockback creates space)
- Buddha Slam (punish their recovery)
- Buddha Palm (follow-up pressure)
- Note: Buddha is generally outclassed in PvP by S-tier fruits, but this defensive playstyle can frustrate aggressive opponents
Matchups
Favorable Matchups (PvP)
- Venom - Buddha's damage reduction tanks through Venom zones. Activate Guardian Stance and walk through the poison.
- Snow - The freeze does not stop Buddha's attacks. You can attack while frozen in Buddha form.
- String - String's attacks bounce off Buddha's damage reduction. Out-sustain them.
Unfavorable Matchups (PvP)
- Dragon - Dragon can attack from range while staying out of Buddha's reach. The large hitbox makes Buddha an easy target for Dragon Breath.
- Dough - Dough's control locks down Buddha's large hitbox perfectly. Sticky Floor + Grilled Dough chunks Buddha through damage reduction.
- Leopard - Leopard's speed lets them circle Buddha and attack from angles you cannot respond to.
