Sand Fruit Overview
The Sand fruit is a C-tier Logia that offers basic area control through sand-based attacks. While its Logia typing provides some defensive utility early on, its damage output and zone coverage fall far short of higher-tier Logia fruits like Magma or Dragon. Sand is functional for early-game leveling but becomes outclassed quickly once you encounter stronger fruits. Trade it as soon as a better option becomes available.

Move Set
Skill 1: Sand Storm (Unlocks at Fruit Equip)
- Damage: 600
- Cooldown: 8 seconds
- Range: 15 meters
- Description: Summon a swirling sand storm in an area around you. Enemies caught inside take damage and have reduced visibility. Good for early mob farming but the damage is low compared to other Logia openers.
Skill 2: Desert Spada (Unlocks at Fruit Level 25)
- Damage: 900
- Cooldown: 10 seconds
- Range: 20 meters
- Description: Launch a blade of compressed sand in a straight line. Decent range and fast travel speed, but the narrow hitbox makes it easy to dodge. Best used as a poke tool against predictable movement.
Skill 3: Sand Tomb (Unlocks at Fruit Level 50)
- Damage: 1,400
- Cooldown: 14 seconds
- Range: 8 meters
- Description: Grab a target and encase them in sand, dealing damage over the duration. This is your highest single-hit damage but requires close range and the grab can miss against mobile opponents.
Skill 4: Desert Encierro (Unlocks at Fruit Level 75)
- Damage: 1,800
- Cooldown: 18 seconds
- Range: 18 meters
- Description: Create a large desert zone that damages enemies inside over time. The zone persists for several seconds, providing area denial. Weaker than equivalent skills on higher-tier fruits.
Why C-Tier
Sand suffers from low damage across all skills compared to other Logia fruits. Magma and Dragon both outclass it in AoE coverage and raw numbers. Its Logia intangibility is nice early on but loses relevance as players gain Haki. The grab on Sand Tomb is the only standout move, and it is unreliable against experienced players.
When to Trade
Trade Sand as soon as you get any B-tier or higher fruit offer. Its 100K-300K Beli trade value makes it a reasonable bargaining chip for mid-tier fruits. If you are past level 200, Sand is actively holding back your damage output - prioritize upgrading.
Best Pairings
